Use the Middle Click on Your Mouse

source: David Oliva

There are some great posts in the archives of Life Your Way that don’t get much attention anymore. This week, I’ll be sharing some of my favorites. Whether you’ve been around since the beginning or are a new reader, I think you’ll enjoy them!

Have you discovered the power of the middle click button on your mouse? When I browse the internet, I am always opening links in new tabs so that I can go back and read them later. In the past, I’ve right clicked, selected “Open in a New Tab” and then moved on.

But did you know that if you middle click, the window will open in a new tab for you? It may not seem like much, but it’s become a huge time (and frustration) saver for me!

You can also middle click on a tab to close it.

Of course, now I find it frustrating to browse the internet on my laptop, where there is no middle click button, but I recently discovered this AutoKey script that offers a way around that.

Do you open links in new tabs often? Do you use middle click?
